Doyle Kitchin, Discipleship

After graduating from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1976, Doyle spent his naval career as an Engineering Duty Officer. His final two assignments were as the Chief Engineer aboard the USS Midway and the USS John F. Kennedy. After retiring as a Captain, he continued serving as the Deputy Director for Machinery Systems at NavSea. Today, Doyle spends his time discipling Midshipmen to faithfully follow Jesus, as they prepare to become officers in the Navy.

Lindsay Betz, Discipleship + Content

Lindsay serves the midshipmen through two means: ministry with BCM and academics through the Writing Center in Nimitz. She holds two English degrees and thought that the academic world was her calling until March of 2021 when God put BCM in front of her. She left her teaching job at USNA to join the team as a staff member in the fall of 2021 and has loved every second of ministry. Lindsay does three things for BCM: discipling midshipman women, creating social media content + writing, and culture building along with the rest of the team. She feels blessed to be part of a ministry that matters + makes disciples. Lindsay is married to Tim, a police officer, and together they have two cool kids named Triston + Tatum (and many chickens). They all attend South Shore Church in Crownsville.

Carter + Katie Martin, Discipleship

Carter + Katie grew up in the Annapolis area where they attended the same church + high school. They both graduated from Liberty University, Katie with a B.S. in Psychology and Carter with a B.S. in International Business. They got married in 2017 + welcomed Camden in 2021. They both felt called to full-time ministry with BCM at this time and answered it willingly. Carter is earning his Masters in Divinity now + Katie enjoys raising Camden along with discipling midshipmen. They feel grateful that as their family grows, they can serve + love through this ministry. They attend Citizens Church in Annapolis.
